Maryland Solar Energy Grant Updates

md_solar_energy_grant Maryland Solar Energy Grant UpdatesProgram Update for FY 2010: The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is pleased to announce that through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA); as well as proceeds generated from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, sufficient funds have been added to the Maryland Solar Energy Grant Program to cover all applicants who had previously been placed on the waitlist. With the new round of funds able to clear the current waitlist, additional funding is now available to Maryland residents who intend to install qualified solar photovoltaic, or solar hot water systems.

Given the rapidly growing demand for solar energy in the state, the Maryland Energy Administration has implemented new guidelines for the Solar Energy Grant Program in an effort to support funding through the end of Fiscal Year 2010. Any application received after September 1, 2009 will be subject to the following parameters…
